Mood: excitedlast night was one of the most memorable nights of my entire life I must say... I was invited to the Dallas Meyerson Hall which is one of the most magnificent architectural in to world. this wasn't my first time being there, as I have been there 3 times already 1. I was a performer in my high school orchestra (trombone 2nd chair) 2. still performing, but played the drums... 3. tried to go in to watch a performance that was a once in a lifetime experience, but 3 security officers tackled me when I tried to sneak in and threw me out because I was dressed like a "vagabond..." later that day I came back in my fathers suit which is too short. so you could see skin between my socks and my pants. in the end, I was thrown out again, (thank you Dallas police for keeping poor scum out of the building) this time I had a VIP Ticket from college that costs $250 bucks (not kidding). there was a bit of confusion when I was waiting outside, people thought I was Valet parking, and 2 people gave me the keys to their vehicle, had I been a thief they'd learn there lesson the hard way... as a matter of fact the whole night I was confused as a waiter, even by THEIR staff! well, I 'thought' I looked like I was wealthy. at least I think there are rich people with long hair and budget suits... when I got inside I was seated in the highest balcony as my college's best and brightest. dining 'above' millionaires, CEOs and business owners from as far as china. I know because I sat with Chinese couple (being that I could speak little Mandarin). I was introduced as... Vice President of Academics for Tomorrow's Health Professionals Vice President of Communications for the Student Government Assoc. an exemplary student (not really) and a student that could accel at many things that others find difficult (aka- I know how to do math...) I wasn't exactly Mr. Proper as I lack the training of how to dine properly... I only need one fork, one knife, and one spoon. people looked at me crazy when I ate a sandwich with my hands... the performance was Magnificent!! I sat in the 3rd aisle near the front row, listening to jazz music all night long. for once in my life I felt very contented. after the concert was complete, I wandered loudly singing around the arts district, NOT sneaking into the museum of Asian arts, NOT admiring Asian sculptures and paintings if I haven't lost your attention you should see this place, it is magnificent... seeing photographs of the performance hall is really nothing compared to the complete state of awe of actually being there. your head is on a complete swivel, I never get tired of going there...
